La Classique Vieux-Montréal | Édition 2022

The official Old Montreal business collective petanque tournament is back and invites the public to enjoy the festivities this year!

On September 14th and 15th on de la Commune Promenade, between Clocktower Beach and Place Jacques-Cartier, the OLD MONTREAL CLASSIC is making its grand return under the trees behind Bonsecours Market after two years of absence.

This networking and neighbourly interaction initiative was originally launched by the Old Montreal SDC in 2014. Wishing to ease connection between the local clientele in the historic neighbourhood, this organization counted on the convivial nature of this project in order to reach out to people and create a unified business collective. Like a thread in a needle, this petanque tournament has met its intended goal perfectly and become one of the most attended networking events by business persons, partners, and residents in all of Old Montreal.

A new feature this year, thanks to the support of the borough of Ville-Marie, the OLD MONTREAL CLASSIC will offer a whole new space open to the public on September 14th and 15th. While the official tournament is open to members of the business collective, passersby and visitors to the neighbourhood are invited to enjoy the party ambiance over these two days with arranged relaxation zones, free games, refreshments, live music, and massage therapy stations – absolutely free!
