Micro espresso café is a small espresso bar in the heart of old Montreal.
They have a wide range of different coffees available, multiple brewing methods, coffee beans to brew or even buy to use at home. Delicious pastries from the neighbourhood pastry chef Chez Potier are also available.
Their goal is to support local artisans as much as possible for several reasons: to encourage merchants in the neighbourhood, to make a difference for other nearby small businesses, to reduce their carbon footprint by using local producers as well as to offer traceable coffees and teas. They give great importance to diversity and inclusion in their supply chain by carefully examining who is behind the companies they choose to work with. They like to promote local women-owned businesses, like their Pluck teas (TO) tea supplier or their specialty coffee roasters Za & Klo (Verdun).
Their 300 square foot espresso bar offers an artisanal approach to brewing coffee. They pride themselves on their knowledge of coffee, either in the way they prepare it or in their individual selection of coffee for specific brewing methods. In general, the local coffee scene is very divided: you have either the old-school dark roast Italian coffee or the modern, artisanal and innovative third-wave coffee. Their concept is to be a specialty coffee shop with a classic Italian twist, which means they offer very funky and modern rare fruity coffees, as well as their contemporary take on classic Italian-style coffee. They want to be able to caffeinate everyone who walks through their door or walks past their beautiful take-out window, without ever refusing an order. To put it simply: they want to give you what you want!
Micro Espresso Company started in 2017 as an Office Coffee Supplier (OCS), supplying corporate offices, car dealerships and even some hotels with their Cafection coffee machines made locally with innovative technologies. Over the years they have received incredible 5-star reviews from their customers, both on their coffee and on their personalized service and attention to detail, but the general public did not have the opportunity to try their cafes and fall in love with them like the office workers. Micro Espresso Café often talked about bringing the coffee experience to the office, so when they fell in love with the Parisian aspect of Old Montreal, they immediately knew that this would be the ideal location for them.
Micro Espresso Café also offers coffee-bike rides on Friday mornings, come end the week with them! (Cycle and Micro espresso Friday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. | Informal and friendly coffee ride, 50 to 60 minutes.)
